About Vocal Dimension Chorus

Vocal Dimension is an international award-winning a cappella chorus based in Horley, Surrey.

Established in January 2010, we have now grown to a multi-award-winning group of more than 40 singers. The four-part style in which we sing is one of the most challenging and rewarding styles for a vocal ensemble.

Singing without any musical accompaniment, we use the blend of our voices, energy and enthusiasm to create magical music which touches and inspires our audiences. We sing everything from traditional barbershop and show tunes to modern popular - and a few classical pieces too.

Our vision is: changing lives through music.

We love to perform and entertain audiences across London and the South East with our high standard of singing. We sing at charity events, local theatres, weddings, and after-dinner functions, and are always looking for new opportunities to perform. We aim to create an emotional connection with our audiences, leaving them moved and inspired.

We have experienced many wonderful things together: singing on top of the O2 at Christmas, as well as under the tree in Trafalgar Square, performing at a conference at Cambridge University, singing at Lord’s cricket ground and at the Actors’ Church in Covent Garden – to name but a few. We have even appeared on BBC1’s Saturday night entertainment show Pitch Battle! Whatever we do, wherever we go, we continue to follow our motto:

Making music together and having fun doing it!

We also love to compete in music festivals and competitions. As members of SingUnited International – the worldwide women’s a cappella organisation – we compete regularly in the annual competition for the UK & Netherlands. VDC has won gold at these competitions on numerous occasions, giving us the opportunity to compete at an international level. In our first performance, in Baltimore, USA, we won the audience choice award for Most Entertaining chorus. We are still very proud of that! That performance, as well as those in Las Vegas (2016) and Louisville (2023), earned us silver medals. We are heading to Seattle in October 2027 for our fourth shot at the gold!
